Dr. Land became involved with the Forsyth County Humane Society in 1976, where she served ten years on the Board of Directors, and fostered over 300 homeless animals. She opened Pet Vet in 1987 after receiving her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Georgia. In 1997 she and her staff received specialized training in pediatric sterilization. Since that time, Dr. Land has perfected these procedures to provide the lowest possible cost, while assuring the utmost in safety and fastest recovery time possible for the patient.
To date, Dr. Land has personally paid for over $130,000.00 in free or subsidized spays/neuters.
